The future of Wirral’s services will be decided by the Labour run Council over the next few weeks. Members of the public are invited to attend all these meetings which take place at Wallasey Town Hall. The timetable is set out below:
Tuesday 12 February: findings of the consultation will be presented to members of Health & Wellbeing, Economy & Regeneration and Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committees. All meetings start at 6pm.
Thursday 14 February: the findings of the consultation will be presented to members of Council Execllence and Sustainable Communities Overview and Scruitiny Committees. All meetings start at 6pm.
Monday 18 February: the Budget Cabinet will receive reports on each budget option. Each report will cover all the budget options for each of the three new directorates – Transformation and Resources, Families and Wellbeing and Regeneration and Environment. Meeting starts at 6.15pm.
The Labour Cabinet will consider the options and propose a budget resolution based on those options they want to take forward to make savings.
On Tuesday 5 March a meeting of the council will take place when the final decisions will be made on where Labour’s cuts will be implemented and the Council Tax level set for the coming year. Budget Council starts at 6.15pm.
