Christmas came early for members of Mosslands Drive Allotment Society today, when Father Christmas arrived with a cheque for £9,930 from the ‘Awards for All Lottery Fund’. I was invited to present the treasurer (also dressed as Father Christmas) with the cheque – it’s been a long process for them but they will now be able to go ahead with levelling the ground to build a small parking and community area, which at the moment is a mud bath!
