Wirral’s Future – Be Part Of It
Unlike the old Labour-led Council, Jeff Green and the Cabinet don’t assume they know best and really do want to listen to the views of people across Wirral. A public consultation, ‘Wirral’s Future – Be Part Of It’, will be launched on Monday 13 September and everyone will have a chance to say how they’d like their money spent on goods and services in their area. The Cabinet are determined to make sure that the way the Council does business, changes.
Never again will the Council, for example, announce plans to close leisure centres and libraries, and ‘consult’ afterwards. Those who want more say in running services, will have it and those who just want more information on costs and services will get it. This will be the biggest-ever consultation by any Council on Merseyside, everyone will have the chance to take part.
