Straight from the consultation meeting in Moreton about a new Aldi store, I went to English Martyrs in Wallasey Village to attend St Mary’s College Art and Fashion Show…and what a lot of talent there is!  Head of Art, Ali McWatt is doing a fantastic job and certainly bringing out the many talents of the pupils who attend the school.

Patrick McDowell has set up ‘Bumble Bee Designs’ an enterprise initiative his impressive hand sewn bags sold out (I bought one in denim) making a profit of £100, which he intends to plough back into his ‘business’, at only 13 years old I think he’ll go far!

There were fantastic works of art on display - many pupils from the school go onto fashion design and drama.
