With Evelyn and Chris

I went along and visited the Lunch Club at Maritime Grange in Seacome today, which was organised by Age Concern.  Altogether they have 13 ‘Lunch Clubs’ across Wirral.

In Wallasey there are three Clubs; Maritime Grange, Rodney Court and Harvest Court in Moreton.  It’s open to all – you don’t have to live in sheltered accommodation to go.  There’s a small charge and money made from the raffle goes towards paying for an ambulance for those who aren’t mobile.

Like many clubs they’re staffed by volunteers who do a wonderful job each week.  Thanks to Evelyn for making us so welcome, Peter the chef for cooking the meal – and hello to Ernie!
