It’s Saturday…

2008 November 22

I was out early this morning delivering our ‘Change’ newspaper in Seacombe with Cllrs Ian Lewis and Chris Blakeley for a couple of hours.  Instead of stopping for a coffee with them, I went straight to the Christmas Fair at New Brighton Primary School with Cllr Tony Pritchard.

There was a great atmosphere with lots of parents and children supporting the event.  I won a prize in the raffle again, my second win in two days, unbelieveable – I’ll soon have all my Christmas presents sorted!  For a bit of fun, I also had my cards read, much to the amusement of Tony.

I then hot-footed it to the ‘Roz Tranfield Beauty Centre’ where they were celebrating becoming a ‘crown’ salon.  It’s great that a local business is doing so well.  Congratulations to Roz and the team.

There was a raffle (no I didn’t win!) with half the proceeds going to the local charity CHORF.

Miss Wirral and Miss New Brighton were also there and incase of doubt, I’m on the left of the photo!!!

It was then back to the office to answer more emails and letters which I’ve received supporting our campaign to stop the Council cutting lollipop ladies.  The response has been tremendous.
