46 years old and still going strong

No, not me! but Wallasey Arts Society who invited me to open their 46th Annual Art Exhibition at Earlston Library this afternoon.
There are some fabulous paintings – watercolours, charcoal, pastel and etchings to name but a few.
This year they’ve also added pottery and there’s a great ‘Coronation Street’ on display! Jane Mason as Chair has done a tremendous job and the Society is now so popular that there’s a waiting list to join.
I definitely recommend visiting the exhibition which is open during library hours from Monday 3rd November to Saturday 15th November.
There was a watercolour and pastel of Ss Peter and Paul’s Church in New Brighton on display – very appropriate as Tony and I had campaigned earlier this morning to save the church.
I was made very welcome and it was great to see so many familiar faces again. Aferwards over a cup of tea, many talked about the credit crunch and the state of the present Government. They made it very clear they wanted change – I couldn’t agree more.
