RAF celebrates 90 years of service

Last night I was invited to Birkenhead Town Hall to an event to celebrate 90 years of service of the Royal Air Force. 

There was a great presentation with a video highlighting all the opportunities within today’s RAF.  Women have the same opportunities as men and can partake in any job within the service – with the exception of the regiment and Roman Catholic Priest!

I spoke to Group Captain David Prowse (in the photo above) who was delighted that the event was so well attended.  They’ve had a great response to a recent recruitment drive, which I’m sure will increase with the announment that Prince William is to spend the next two years in the Service!  There are many opportunities either straight from school or university.
