Don’t call us…we’ll call you

A couple of days ago, the Liberal Democrat leader promised to knock on one million doors.  Today, he’s decided that it’s better to phone instead.  I suppose the bad weather has put him off.  Tonight, during Coronation Street or the Champion’s League (depending on your preference), an automated message from Nick Clegg will phone 250,000 people.  I can think of nothing worse.  How totally impersonal and, well, lazy. 

Mind you, I doubt if many people in Wallasey or Moreton will get a call.  The Liberal Democrats don’t have a hope of winning here.  That’s why so many of the Lib Dem supporters are switching to us.  The Lib Dems have meanwhile advertised for a candidate to stand here.  Closing date is September 26.
