Supporting New Brighton Lifeboats
Earlier today we held a coffee morning at our campaign headquarters, in aid of our chosen ‘Charity of the Year’, New Brighton Lifeboats (RNLI).
It was great to see so many people there. A special thanks to Paul Wright, a crew member, who came to talk to us about the work that goes on at New Brighton Lifeboat Station which is one of the busiest in the country. The crew is formed entirely of volunteers who are on call 24/7 - unfortunately, he had to leave in mid speech as he was called out to a rescue.
Thanks to all the ladies in the photo who came with lots of goodies to sell!
Like all lifeboat stations they are entirely reliant on voluntary contributions and all proceeds from the coffee morning went to the New Brighton Station.
