Liscard Children’s Centre

2007 November 9
by Leah Fraser

It’s all go at Liscard Children’s Centre, with activities every day of the week (term time only).  However, today was the official opening, with the Mayor as guest of honour.  It was great to go outside and see the little ones release balloons to mark the event – although some didn’t want to let go!  It was very cold so we all went back inside pretty quickly.

The new Centre is based next to Liscard Primary School on Manor Road and provides day-care for up to 21 children plus services for mums to be and parents of children aged 0-5 years.  Various professionals run sessions at the Centre such as health visitors, midwives, speech and language therapists, local voluntary organisations and social care teams to name but a few.

If anyone would like further information, please phone the centre on 638 7530.
